📧 Email SupportGRIDBAGE is cribbage played on a diamond-shaped grid. At the start of each hand, choose whether you'll score Rows or Columns — your opponent takes the other direction. Place cards adjacent to existing cards to build cribbage hands across your lines. First to 121 wins.
Scoring follows standard cribbage rules: 15s score 2 points per combination, pairs score 2, runs score 1 per card, a flush scores based on length, and nobs (a Jack matching the turn card's suit) scores 1. The crib is scored at the end of each hand by the dealer.
The red 5s (5♥ and 5♦) are removed from the deck as part of GRIDBAGE's house rules. This is a deliberate design choice to balance gameplay on the grid — 5s are unusually powerful in cribbage scoring and their removal creates a more strategic experience.
At the start of each hand you choose a scoring axis — Rows or Columns. You score cribbage hands formed across your three rows (or columns), while your opponent scores the other direction. The same card can score for both players depending on where it lands.
A skunk occurs when the winning player reaches 121 before their opponent reaches 91. A double skunk is when the opponent hasn't reached 61. Your stats screen tracks how many skunks you've given and received.
