Solo play against the AI collects zero data — nothing ever leaves your device. The optional Gridbage with Friends multiplayer feature requires a sign-in and stores minimal game data securely in the cloud to enable online play.

When playing against the AI, Gridbage collects no personal information of any kind. All game data — including your scores, statistics, and game history — is stored exclusively on your device using local storage and never leaves it.
Solo play requires no account, no login, and no internet connection. No analytics SDKs, crash reporting tools, advertising networks, or any other third-party data collection frameworks are used.
The optional "Gridbage with Friends" feature allows you to play against other people online. Using this feature requires signing in with Apple or Google. When you use this feature, the following information is stored on secure servers provided by Google Firebase:
We never collect: your real name, email address, phone number, physical location, contacts, payment information, or any device identifiers beyond what Apple or Google provides as an anonymous UID.
Your nickname is chosen freely by you and need not contain any personal information. There is no in-game chat, voice, or any communication between players beyond the game itself.
Data collected through Gridbage with Friends is used solely to operate the multiplayer game feature — matching you with friends, synchronizing game state between devices, and maintaining your win/loss record.
Your data is never sold, shared with third parties, used for advertising, or used to build any profile beyond what is necessary to play the game.
Solo play statistics are stored only on your device. You can reset them at any time within the app. If you delete the app, this data is removed.
Gridbage with Friends account data is stored in Firebase and persists across devices. To request deletion of your multiplayer account and all associated data, email us at support@gridbage.com. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.
Solo play uses no third-party services of any kind.
The Gridbage with Friends feature uses Google Firebase (Firestore database and Authentication) to store game data and manage sign-in. Firebase is governed by Google's Privacy Policy. Apple Sign-In and Google Sign-In are governed by their respective privacy policies. Gridbage receives only an anonymous account identifier from these services — never your email or personal details.
Solo play is safe for all ages and collects no data whatsoever, fully complying with COPPA and all applicable children's privacy regulations.
The Gridbage with Friends multiplayer feature requires sign-in through Apple or Google, both of which have their own age requirements. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the multiplayer feature. If you believe a child under 13 has created a Gridbage with Friends account, please contact us at support@gridbage.com.
If we update this privacy policy, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
